Research and Project-Based Education System;

 

Education in our understanding, the engineer candidates will be given attention to learn through their own experiences. For this purpose, in the theoretical courses it will aim to teach the classic description of the subject by rote rather than the scientific thinking about the subject, reaching sources of information, to establish cause and effect relationship and as a result of these, students will gain skills of problem solving.

Learning in a Social Process;

 

There is social interaction on the basis of learning and development. Owing to social interaction with students and faculty members, students will gain experience with each other. Through social interaction with students and faculty members students will be able to solve accumulated problems they will encounter in their professional life. Thus, they share a common understanding to be made efficient and orderly operation of the learning process will be a gained habit. This is the structure of social learning in order to realize the participation of engineers supported by our candidates and current research projects with faculty members in research and development opportunities will be offered to prospective engineers.

Open to Innovation Engineering Approach;

 

Today single-storey structures, skyscrapers, dams, highways, factories, buildings that serve different purposes are constructed using modern building technology. Profile of engineering and engineers in our time also vary considerably. Engineers who meet these expectations due to development and change, must adapt to technological advances in engineering education. In recent years, in line with technological developments and innovations in the field of Civil Engineering, depending on the methods used to create a modern course contents and curriculum development and innovation will be open to this kind of proposed program.

As in all areas of the construction, industry in developing technology, quality practices and the use of time are important. Prospective engineers will be equipped with theoretical knowledge, skills and knowledge required courses in computer-aided analysis so the industry needs, design and production are eligible to use technology effectively.

Building the Curriculum Yourself;

 

Rather than an ossified educational curriculum, a flexible schedule which can direct the student to take responsibility is required. Following this idea, in the first year physics, mathematics, general courses like chemistry, for the second year Civil Engineering to create the basic information necessary, technical and theoretical lessons and in addition, economics, business, law, management sciences, social studies, such as given. The curriculum in the third and fourth years will be mainly composed of elective courses in accordance with the prospective engineers’ own tendencies.

Our graduates will be able to produce practical and effective solutions to the problems of science and technology by using the information of mathematics, physics, and engineering. In addition, graduates will have the basic knowledge about Water, Transport, Soil and Materials Home subspecialties in Civil Engineering.

Start Business Life High;

 

Undergraduate students will learn advanced English during their education life. By this way, these engineers will have high level of English to discuss the technical details in international construction projects with the other engineers who represent other countries. In addition, our graduates will be one step ahead with the oral presentations and written reports that are so important in business, the ability to transfere the technical material effectively, leadership and entrepreneurship in the construction projects, and the effective team work.
